ASVAB TEST

Are you interested in the military or need more detailed career exploration information? The ASVAB test will be administered on Wednesday, November 20th, at 7:45 am here at BHS. The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) Career Exploration Program is a FREE comprehensive career planning program that includes a multiple aptitude test battery, an interest inventory, and various career planning tools. This is a requirement for those students who wish to pursue a career in the armed forces. Stop by the Counseling Office for further information or to sign up. The last day to sign up is Friday, November 15th.  In order to take this test you must be at least 16 years old.

ELMS COLLEGE ON-THE-SPOT DECISION DAY

Elms College will be holding an On-the-Spot Decision Day here in the BHS Counseling Office on Thursday, November 21st, beginning at 12:45 pm.  Students who wish to apply to Elms College can be accepted on this day right here at BHS!  Interested students must sign up in the Counseling Office.  An application must be completed prior to this date.  Official transcripts will be provided.  If you have any questions or would like more details, please see or email your Counselor.

Upcoming College/Military Visits

 

Johnson and Wales University - Thursday, December 12th, 12:30 pm

 

College/military representatives will meet with seniors who are interested in learning more about their college/military branch in the Counseling Office.  Interested seniors must obtain a pass from the Counseling Office the morning of the visit.

The following AP exams will be administered at Belchertown High School in the Spring of 2020:

U.S. Government and Politics - May 4 - 8:00

English Literature and Composition - May 6 - 8:00

Physics 1 - Algebra Based - May 7 - 12:00

U.S. History - May 8 - 8:00

(VHS) Art History - May 8 - 12:00

(VHS) Computer Science A - May 8 - 12:00

Biology - May 11 - 8:00

(VHS) Psychology - May 12 - 12:00

Computer Science Principles - May 15 - 8:00

Final registration is complete.  For students who paid the $60 deposit, the balance of $34 is due by Friday, February 7, 2020.

NEED TRANSCRIPTS??

If you are a graduate of BHS/attended BHS
and you need a copy of your transcript,
you can either (1) call the BHS
Counseling Office at
413-323-9351 or (2) email the Administrative
Assistant at ldrawec@belchertownps.org.

You must provide your name (clearly spelled),
your graduation year or years of attendance, the complete
address of where you would like your transcript sent,
and a telephone number where you can be reached
(in case further information is needed).
